Odell Beckham Jr. is a free-agent wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). After a successful college career at LSU, OBJ was selected 12th overall by the New York Giants in the 2014 NFL draft. Right off the bat, Beckham proved to be a great receiver as he broke multiple rookie records despite missing the first four games due to an injury.
The star wideout first became the center of the limelight in the Week 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys. OBJ caught a one-handed touchdown catch that too running backward. This catch was dubbed by NFL experts and analysts as the greatest catch ever made. He ended his rookie season with 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns and won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Odell Beckham Jr’s net worth is around $50 million. He played five seasons in New York and had more than 1000 yards in every season except in 2017 when he had to sit out due to an injury. He was then acquired by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and showed no signs of any drop in production. However, he suffered another injury the next season keeping him out for the remainder of the year. Things turned sour between the player and the team in 2021 when Beckham’s father released a video showing how the wide receiver was being snubbed by the team and not throwing passes despite being wide open.
The Browns announced mid-season that they were releasing OBJ. The Los Angeles Rams who were building a championship team saw the opportunity and sign Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal. After completing his one-year contract with the Rams, he became a free agent.

In his eight-year career in the league, Odell Beckham Jr. has won one Super Bowl. After signing with the Rams mid-season in 2021, OBJ became an integral part of the offense and helped them reach the Super Bowl.
The Rams mortgaged their future and signed quarterback Matthew Stafford in hopes of winning the Lombardi Trophy. They also brought in many players on both sides of the scrimmage line to make their team strong enough to make it all the way.
With the arrival of Beckham, the offense became a nightmare for defenses because if they covered him then the ball would go to Cooper Kupp and vice versa. In his short tenure with the Rams, OBJ had 27 receptions for 305 yards and 5 touchdowns. In the Super Bowl LVI victory against the Bengals, Odell Beckham Jr, scored the game’s first touchdown, a 17-yard reception.
