Yes, the Harbaughs met in the Super Bowl as the Ravens and the Niners faced off in a dramatic showdown.

So the game had everything. The Ravens jumped out to a 28-6 lead after Jacoby Jones returned the kickoff for a 108-yard touchdown. And then the drama began. The Super Bowl was held at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Then came the “Super Bowl blackout,” a surreal interruption that had everyone questioning if Beyoncé‘s halftime show had short-circuited the stadium. The delay added an extra layer of drama. Play was suspended for 34 minutes. Once that was sorted out, the Niners went on a run. They scored 17 unanswered points to cut the Ravens’ lead to just five.

With the Ravens leading 34-29 late in the game, they drove down the field to the Ravens’ 7-yard line just before the two-minute warning. However, they turned the ball over on downs, and that pretty much ended the game. The Ravens took an intentional safety and ran out the clock to win their second Super Bowl, 34-31. The Ravens had not only won their second Super Bowl, but they had also given the NFL a show that went beyond football; the “Harbowl” had made a lasting impression as confetti showered down in the Superdome.
