The week 16 game on Sunday is going to be an epic battle between two teams that are having great seasons. Miami Dolphins and the Dallas Cowboys are scheduled to lock horns against each other at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Both these teams have a record of 10-4 and are in the hunt for the top seed.

The Dolphins came into the season on the back of a 9-8 season. It was their first season under head coach, Mike McDaniel. He led his team to a 8-3 record through 12 weeks last season, however, it all came crashing down as the Dolphins lost five straight games after that. They did qualify for the playoffs, but lost in the Wild Card round against the Buffalo Bills.

This season has been a completely different story for the Dolphins. They came out of the blocks firing on all cylinders and quickly established themselves as an offensive force. They have a dynamic offense and are a fun team to watch. Players like Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill are in the MVP conversation this season and the Dolphins are well on course to cause some havoc in the playoffs.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, had a record of 12-5 last year, despite Dak Prescott‘s career high 15 interceptions. They got the better of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round, only to suffer a humiliating defeat against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round. This season feels a little different though, as the Cowboys finally look like a team that might just go all the way this year.

The Dolphins have lost their last four matchups against the Cowboys. They last recorded a win against the Dallas-based team twenty years ago in 2003. The last game between these two teams took place in 2019 at the AT&T Stadium, where the Cowboys destroyed the Dolphins 31-6. Both these teams have played each other 15 times so far, with Dallas leading the series 8-7.

Prior to their loss against the Buffalo Bills last week, the Cowboys had five straight, including a win over their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. All the Cowboys’ main players have been playing well this season.
