The week 16 Thursday Night Football matchup will take place between the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints. Both these teams have had a difficult season. The Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021 but weren’t able to sustain that and their next two seasons have been marred by injuries.

The Saints on the other hand lost their veteran Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton to retirement after the 2021 season. Since then, the Saints have been trying to find their footing in the league with new HC Dennis Allen.

New Orleans entered this campaign with a new quarterback- Derek Carr. They signed Carr in the offseason and were expected to make some noise this season with an improved roster. However, they have struggled to do so and have a similar record to that of the Rams.

Although the Saints won their previous matchup against the Rams in November last year, they have lost five of their last eight games. In their last game, QB Andy Dalton had a great performance against the Rams and led the team to a 27-20 win. He finished with 260 yards with three touchdowns.
