“I trust Matthew Stafford more”: NFL Analyst is confident Stafford will outperform Kyler Murray in Wild Card game
Matthew Stafford
The Los Angeles Rams have finished their season with an impressive 12-5 record. The Rams are faced with a win-or-go-home situation on Monday Night. The Rams will advance to the Divisional Round of the playoffs if they defeat Arizona Cardinals otherwise they will be going home disappointed. The Rams just need to defeat the Cardinals for a second time to enter the next stage of the playoffs.
The Rams vs Cardinals Super Wild Card game is a rematch game. The two teams faced each other in Week 5 and Week 14. The Cardinals who were on an undefeated streak won against the Rams. However, the Rams had their revenge by crushing Arizona in Week 14.
“Matthew Stafford has a lot of experience”: Steve Mariucci feels Stafford has better chance of winning
Expert analysts have favored Los Angeles Rams to win against Arizona. Former NFL Head Coach turned Analysts, Steve Mariucci was asked which quarterback he trusted to win the game — Matthew Stafford or Kyler Murray. “I trust Matthew Stafford more!”, said Mariucci. “Both these guys are No.1 picks in the draft and neither guy has won a playoff game.”
Steve said, “I love Kyler Murray too, he’s gonna make plays with his legs and his arms bt you know what, Matthew Stafford had 41 touchdown passes this year second to only Tom Brady and this guy has got experience, he’s got his go-to receiver — Cooper Kupp.”
Matthew Stafford’s consistency will guarantee a Rams’ win
Rams QB Matthew Stafford has been consistent throughout the season. He has delivered week in and week out for the Rams. Stafford and his go-to receiver, Cooper Kupp have created magic this year. Stafford has a passer rating of 127.7 targeting Cooper Kupp which is the highest by any QB-WR duo (min 100 targets). Due to this consistency, Steve said that Matthew Stafford has a better chance of winning the game.
On the other hand, Cardinals QB, Kyler Murray’s has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Murray started the season with 7-0 and it looked like the Cardinals were invincible. But Murray could not maintain this same pace and they lost 4 of their last 5 games. Murray’s mercurial performance is the reason why experts believe that he won’t lead the Cardinals to a victory in the Wild Card game.
