“I wish I was respected like…” Terry Bradshaw reveals a shocking detail while reflection on his career
Terry Bradshaw
Terry Bradshaw is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL. He orchestrated 4 of the Steelers’ 6 Super Bowl wins and tallied 2 Super Bowl MVPs.
His legacy will last forever but his relatively short NFL career produced lackluster numbers compared to the greats of today. For that reason, he is remembered for different reasons but is still regarded in the highest of lights when it comes to NFL players.
Despite this, Bradshaw recently revealed that an aspect related to how he was viewed by the public is something he wishes was different during his playing career.
Terry Bradshaw wishes he had gotten more respect in his playing days
In Bradshaw’s recent show ‘Going Deep’ a clip was played on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ in which Bradshaw was quoted saying “If there’s one thing in my life I do wish I had, I wish I was loved and respected, and I know I don’t deserve this, I just wish I had it like Brady and like Peyton, Roger Staubach. But when I sit back, in my life, as a football player, I never had that respect and I wish I did.”
Terry Bradshaw has had an unbelievable career that he is definitely proud of. Most people don’t even get the opportunity to play in a Super Bowl but he managed to win 4 of them. However, he does make a point that is somewhat true.
While now Bradshaw most certainly does get his respect for his football career and his accomplishment as an analyst, in his playing days, he wasn’t looked at the way Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are. Now there are valid reasons for why that is because plain and simple, those guys have had careers that are just better and more historical. Brady and Manning transcended the game.
Still though, seeing a vulnerable side to the former Steelers quarterback is a refreshing change of pace and is exactly what his new show is about as he takes viewers through his life.
