With the 2021 season coming to a close, rumours have started to like wildfire regarding the possible futures of a number of players. The future of Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Baker Mayfield is also up in the air after his wife posted a cryptic message on her official Instagram account.
Emily Mayfield, took to her Instagram account to post a picture of a gymnasium she attends of Avon in Ohio, captioning it, “I’m going to miss this place.”
“I’m gonna miss this place,” Emily Mayfield wrote on her Instagram account
Although this could mean a lot of things, netizens have taken it as a sign that the quarterback will in all probability leave the franchise at the end of the season.
Baker Mayfield recently suffered a horrific shoulder injury and it has been reported that he would have to take the surgery on the injured shoulder pretty soon, which will require him to travel to Los Angeles where he would be operated on by the reputed Dr Orr Limpisvasti.
After a poor showing against the Pittsburg Steelers, Baker admitted himself that he needs to focus on his health right now, and the fact that he has not paid attention to it for a long time has not helped his cause either.
The 26-year old quarterback has not had the best of times with his teammates on the field and is reportedly unhappy with the team’s play-calling. This has prompted the Browns fans to wonder whether a trade in the off-season might be the best outcome for both parties.
A move for Baker Mayfield, looks unlikely this season and his wife must have in all probability referred them to moving to Los Angeles for the surgery,
