“It’s chocolate cake with ultimate frosting,” Andy Reid aiming for the Super Bowl title this year
The Kansas City Chiefs are well and truly on their way to creating history this season, as they hope to become only the fourth side in the entire history of the NFL to make an appearance in the Super Bowl Final for a third season on the trot.
Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach has been an integral part of the setup and hopes to continue in the same mettle to achieve the goal. His side came out convincing winners against the Pittsburg Steelers with a 42-21 victory in the Wild Card playoff encounter and need a victory against the Buffalo Bills to reach their fourth consecutive AFC Conference Championship Game.
Andy Reid wants to ensure no complacency amongst his players for the crucial fixtures coming up
However, sometimes teams can become just that little bit complacent when they have achieved so much in such a short space of time. The Kansas City Chiefs coach dismissed any such notion when it come to his side, and made an incredible comparison to justify his point.
Andy Reid compared the Super Bowl title to a piece of chocolate cake, which no one would tend to give up even if he has already had a piece of it earlier.
“If you have a piece of chocolate cake, and you see another dangling in front of you, you’re going to want it,” Reid said, via Aaron Ladd of NBC Sports Kansas City.
“Not much is going to stop you, so that’s how you feel about the Super Bowl. That is the chocolate cake with the ultimate frosting and you’re going to try to go get it if you can, the best you can.”
“I love that like a big piece of prime rib,” Reid said. “That’s how we get excited. When everybody is working together, you’re tough to stop.”
