The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a dramatic victory over the Buffalo Bills to set up a titular clash against the Cincinnati Bengals for the AFC Championships. The Chiefs needed a quickfire touchdown in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter to take the game into overtime and Tyreek Hill turned up big time for the home side.
The wide receiver played a crucial part, in catching balls from Patrick Mahomes to get the team to within field-goal range to allow Harrison Butker to kick the game-tying field goal.
Tyreek Hill compared the duo of Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy to Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal
After the victory, Tyreek Hill was over the moon with the result, which he thought at one point would not have dragged down to the final minutes of the game. The 27-year old heaped praises on all of his teammates, who played their parts to perfection in the gripping win.
“Oh yeah, man for sure I thought it was over, I even showed the peace sign, one time. But everything happens for a reason. Patrick Mahomes showed why he is great, again so, why not,” said Tyreek Hill while speaking after the match.
Hill reserved special praise for his head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, comparing them to the superstar NBA duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. The duo played together for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004, winning three consecutive NBA finals during their time together.
The Chiefs WR praised his coaches, “Man, you got some of the best players all over the field, that’s why we don’t panic. On defense, on offense, on special teams. We got one of the greatest coaches of all-time in Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy. That combo is nasty. It’s like @SHAQ and Kobe. It’s crazy.”
