“It’s never gonna be shown in the highlights” – Peter Schrager believes Matthew Stafford is potent enough for a Super Bowl ring

Matthew Stafford unlocked his true potential with Los Angeles Rams. Before playing for the Rams, Stafford was the QB for Detroit Lions for 12 years and had never played in a conference championship game.

With just 1 year with the Rams, Stafford won his first career playoff game and won the NFC Championship, and is now heading to the Super Bowl at home. Judging by the way Stafford has been playing, the Rams are sure to win the Super Bowl.

It’s evident that Matthew Stafford can win big games but can he win the Super Bowl?

Peter Schrager on Good Morning Football heaped praise on Matthew Stafford and credited the Rams’ victories to the QB. “Stafford won this game,” Schrager said. “Stafford won the Buccaneers game, Stafford won the Cardinals game. I think we’re done wondering if Stafford can win a big game.”

“Now its can he join Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, some of the other quarterbacks who have won 1 Super Bowl. Can Stafford just put himself right in that conversation? He’s now one win away.”

“The game was not going well and it was going off the rails little bit and there were plays where you were like it’s just not their day”, Schrager said. Stafford missed WR Ben Skowronek in the endzone who was wide open, which could’ve resulted in a touchdown. “Yet in the fourth quarter, Stafford stands in the pocket hits Cooper Kupp.”

The Rams were down by 10 points in the fourth quarter. Prior to the NFC Championship, San Francisco 49ers had defeated the Rams six times in a row. Despite all the challenges, Stafford led the Rams to a 20-17 victory to advance to the Super Bowl.

The Rams will face Cincinnati Bengals at their home ground, SoFi Stadium, for Super Bowl LVI.
