If you thought the only thing special about Philadelphia is its cheesesteak, you clearly have not met Tina Lai, the wife of the Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. Tina Lai is a successful businesswoman herself. While her popularity rose and she became a household name in the city of Philadelphia, she was running a few restaurants with her family.
Tina Lai and her family were immigrants from Vietnam, but came to Philadelphia and established their restaurant chain. She has seven siblings, their family was compelled to leave Vietnam in 1978 before moving to Malaysia before finally settling in the United States of America. She attended Lumberton High School.
Tina has since come a long way forward as she is a senior interior designer at the reputed Stanford Hotels. Her family continues to own and operate their chain of Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown and Cedar Park. In 2018, Tina was appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer of the Seaspan Corporation, which is the largest containership owner-operator in the world.
Tina Lai married Jeffrey Lurie and tied the knot in 2013
Tina and Jeffrey Lurie began dating in 2012 following his divorce from ex-wife Christina Weiss Lurie. The owner has a child from his first marriage, a son named Julian, and a daughter, Milena. Jeffrey does not have a child with Tina as of yet.
Their marriage took place in Charleston, South Carolina, on the 4th of May, 2013. The ceremony was a quaint one in which the couple exchanged vows before proclaiming themselves as husband and wife. Their son Julian is a Harvard graduate while their daughter Milena is following in her father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in filmmaking.
Amongst their multiple real estate assets, the one Jeffrey and Tina call home is the 13-acre, four-parcel estate on Cherry Lane in Wynnewood that is valued at a modest $14 million.
