The 49ers, after winning two games in a row against the Bengals and the Falcons, took on the Titans in their latest encounter aiming to extend their winning run even further. However, what transpired left 49ers fans dejected. In an entertaining encounter, the Titians eventually emerged victoriously by 20-17.
The 49ers have got no one but themselves to blame for the loss as they faltered under pressure and committed errors at crucial instances in the game. Their defense let them down, they committed bad penalties and the Titans were quick to capitalize on the chances given to them.
“I remain a huge believer in Jimmy”: John Lynch
However, it wasn’t a one-sided encounter by any stretch as the 49ers started off quite nicely. 10-0 at the end of the first half, the 49ers were leading the charge, but their strategy went haywire in the second half and the Titans, led by A.J Brown snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the final seconds of the game.
However, apart from the result of the game, what grabbed public attention was a tweet liked by 49ers General Manager John Lynch. The tweet suggests that the team should leave Jimmy Garoppolo in Nashville. However, John was quick to realize what had transpired as he issued a clarification soon after.
“Apparently, while in Christmas Eve Mass with my Family, I accidentally and unknowingly Liked a Tweet. Never intended to and remain a huge believer in Jimmy. Merry Christmas to everyone,” Lynch wrote on Twitter. The 49ers will next take on the Texans.
