“The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard” Kayvon Thibodeaux claims he is easily the best player in the 2022 NFL Draft

Kayvon Thibodeaux has been one of the more confusing NFL Draft prospects in recent times. While some believe he could be a top 3 draft pick, many also believe that he could find himself falling out of the top 10.

Thibodeaux finished his 3 seasons in Oregon with 126 tackles, 19 sacks, and 35.5 tackles for loss. Truly impressive stuff and in truth, that’s really what Thibodeaux is. His combination of size and speed is perfect for the NFL and his flexibility helps him really be dangerous as an edge rusher.

Despite this, Kayvon Thibodeaux still has his doubters as scouts were even questioning his commitment to football. What really didn’t help was the fact that he withdrew from the combine early after running a 4.58 40 yard dash.

This has ramped up the criticism surrounding him but Thibodeaux emphatically answered those doubts recently.

Kayvon Thibodeaux spoke to ‘USA Today’ about the criticism he’s faced and was quoted saying “The most ridiculous thing I’ve heard is that I’m not the best player in this draft. I really don’t listen to anything else, but that to me, that’s outrageous. With the film, with the numbers and what I can do as far as my ability, I have confidence in what I can do.”

Thibodeaux further added “It is easy to see a snippet of something because that’s what media does. They cut stuff up and frame it how they want to. Just watch the whole tape, you will be able to see.”

The pressure certainly is on now. It’s not like it wasn’t before but when you claim you’re the best player in the draft, the expectations skyrocket. Whether or not he’ll go as high as he believes he can is something we can only wait and see but he’ll have to deliver in the NFL if he’s to live up to his claims now.
