Kyler Murray
Kyler Murray is a force to reckon with in the world of the NFL. The young quarterback was a college football superstar. Murray won a number of awards at the college level which made his transition to the highest level extremely smooth. Back in 2019, he was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals.
In his first season for the Cardinals, Murray proved that the franchise made the right call by roping him in as he was named the Offensive Rookie of the year. Moreover, the Cardinals made the playoffs in 2021 for the first time since 2015 and Murray had a huge role to play in that.
“I play this game for the love of it”: Kyler Murray

However, it seems like the Kyler-Cardinals equation isn’t working out well. This season, in the Wild Card playoff clash, the Cardinals were handed a crushing defeat by Super Bowl champion LA Rams and Murray looked completely out of sorts in that game. He threw two interceptions and after getting off to a good start, the Cardinals returned empty-handed.
Recently, Murray made the headlines when he deleted all his Instagram images in Cardinals gear. This act made everyone believe that his association with the franchise might come to an end very soon. However, Murray recently took to Twitter to post an image in Cardinals gear with a cryptic note.
“I play this game for the love of it, my teammates, everyone who has helped me get to this position that believed in me & to win championships,” he wrote. “All of this nonsense is not what I’m about, never has been, never will be. Anyone who has ever stepped between those lines with me knows how hard I go. Love me or hate me but I’m going to continue to grow and get better,” he added.
Are the note and image enough to repair the damage done when Murray deleted all his images in the Cardinals‘ uniform? Only time will tell.
