“Fab Five”: Micah Parsons, Trevon Diggs among 5 Cowboys named to Pro Bowl roster
Trevon Diggs and Micah Parsons
The 2021 season has been the season of redemption for the Dallas Cowboys. Back in 2020, they won 6 and lost 10 games. Not a single Cowboy was sent to the annual all-star game. However, this year, they have been absolutely sensational. With 10 wins and only 4 losses, they are currently sitting at the top of the NFC East table.
With several big names in the side, it would be fair to say that the Cowboys’ offense was expected to perform well, however, the way the defense stood up to the task was nothing short of incredible. As a result, the Cowboys will be very well-represented at this year’s Pro Bowl.
Diggs, Parsons, Martin, Smith, and Anger named to Pro Bowl roster
Recently, the NFL announced its 2022 Pro Bowl rosters, and the Cowboys fans are very happy to see five of their favorite superstars in the squad. In fact, the Cowboys are one of eight teams to place five or more players on their conference’s squad.
Dallas will send Cornerback Trevon Diggs, rookie linebacker Micah Parsons, right guard Zack Martin, left tackle Tyron Smith, and punter Bryan Anger to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in early February. Moreover, it will be the very first Pro Bowl for Anger, Diggs, and Parsons.
Micah Parsons deserves a special mention as he has been in astounding touch this season. He has become just the 12th player in the history of the franchise to earn this particular honor as a rookie. The Cowboys will look to extend their three-game winning streak by going past Washington in their next encounter.
