Purdy took over Jeff Garcia in terms of covering the most number of passing yards (4,250) for the 49ers in a season. In addition, he also made to the Pro Bowl list for the consecutive second time, first for a 49ers QB in two decades.

Despite breaking multiple records this season, the quarterback still attracted a lot of criticisms. Some analysts tried a lot to denounce his effort. Addressing this, the tight end of San Fran George Kittle shut all the outside noise in the latest episode of the Pat McAfee show.

Brock Purdy is fantastic and he’s consistent every single day.. Second year player and his second year in the NFC Championship. Brock played really well when he had to, there were also moments in the game where Brock kind of expressed himself to our players, you know we had an MA (missed assignment) somewhere and he’s yelling at somebody and I’m like, that’s what I need Brock, I need you to yell at somebody.

Kittle also added that Purdy has developed the characteristic of coming into clutch when his team needs the most. Not once, twice or thrice, according to Kittle, he has always produced clutch moments in his short career so far.

Not the first time but whenever something happens like that where he gets to express himself there's a switch that flips, and the second after that, he was cooking.

The 49ers and Purdy will seek the championship this year

After a poor loss against the Philadelphia Eagles last year, the 49ers will seek to seal this year’s NFC Championship. They have played well throughout the season and earned their rightful place in the Championship game. They will face the Detroit Lions, who are having a generational season, in the Championship battle.

The Lions have also maintained a good rhythm throughout the season and are having their best ever outing since the merger of the two conferences. The Detroit team created history in the Wildcard round by registering a playoff win after 32 years.

For the 49ers, though, Purdy had a frustrating game against the Packers in the divisional round. He had some bad throws. Nonetheless, the quarterback would have an opportunity to change things in the coming game.
