“Man, it’s going to be real special,” A.J. Brown reflects on his chemistry with Jalen Hurts
A.J. Brown is the newest member of the Philadelphia Eagles, the wide receiver was traded in exchange for the 18th pick and a third-round pick. As per rumors, Brown demanded $20 million per year from the Titans. Post the trade, the Eagles moved quickly by signing the star receiver to a four-year $100 million extension with $57 million guaranteed.
The newest Eagle was in Philadelphia earlier today for his formal introduction as a member of the team. He met up with the quarterback Jalen Hurts, he had earlier called his new teammate up as soon as the trade news broke out.
Brown told reporters that the two players are working on establishing a solid relationship ahead of their first season together.
“Man, it’s going to be real special, man, I’m so excited, playing with someone who thinks like me. I talk to him every day regardless of this football stuff, I’m so excited just to play with him. He’s a quarterback and I’m a receiver so we get on the same page quick.”

Brown even called Jalen Hurts his “best friend,” the Eagles are expecting big things from the duo and hope that they will rejuvenate the offense of the team.
When asked about the offense of the team, Brown said, “It can be really special, man. I’m just glad I can be a part of it. I’m going to do my part and try to just bring what I bring to the table. Like I said, I’m executed and I can’t wait.”
Brown was picked up by the Titans in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and he has recorded over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons. He made the Pro Bowl in 2020. Last year, Brown played in just 13 games and had 869 yards with 5 total TDs.
