“A mysterious secret” EX-NFL WR Charles Johnson’s cryptic death has kept the whole NFL community mystified

Charles Johnson was reported missing a day before he was found dead in a hotel room in Raleigh, California. Since then, there has been no development in the investigation.
The reason for death was not revealed and it is still a secret. Though the Raleigh Police Department confirmed that there was no foul play involved, people are still conspicuous about the whole situation.
Charles Johnson’s death has baffled the whole NFL community and his lovers and fans are still looking for answers. Johnson died at the age of 50 after having a nine-year stint in the NFL.
Raleigh Police Department got a call from the hotel regarding a welfare check from the local Hampton Inn which led to the police finding out about the death.
“Hotel staff and RPD officers responded and located a deceased subject in the room,” Raleigh police said. “The preliminary investigation indicates there were no signs of foul play. It is still an open and ongoing death investigation.”
Charles Johnson was reported missing a day earlier on July 16 by his wife. Johnson’s family also respected his decision of not having a public funeral or memorial.

Charles Johnson spent nine years in the NFL but his most prominent time was in 1996 when he played with the Steelers. Accompanying him was his college quarterback teammate Kordell Stewart who was devastated after his passing away.
“Words simply can’t explain or identify who C.J. was to many,” Stewart said in CU’s news release about Johnson. “I’m not sure how to process this properly – we’ve been friends for over 30 years – but just know C.J. will be missed. My heart goes out to Tanisha (his wife), their kids and family. May God bless them and keep them during these trying times.”
Charles Johnson also had a decent with the New England Patriots and also won a Super Bowl with them. Johnson is succeeded by his wife and his children.
