Micah Parsons blew the entire league away with his incredible display of performance that led him to be the Defensive Rookie of the Year. Parsons led the league in sacks (13) which is an excellent feat in itself but the respect for the 23-year-old increased ten-fold when he revealed that he played the entire season with a busted knee.

Although the Cowboys did pretty well during the regular season, they weren’t able to cross the line in playoffs and as expected, Micah Parsons was visibly dejected. However, he has promised that the Dallas-based franchise will bounce back harder in the coming season.

Another absolute superstar the Cowboys managed to get their hands on was Trevon Diggs. Diggs, 23, dominated the league in interceptions and was a waking nightmare for opposing quarterbacks. The star cornerback finished the 2021 season with 11 interceptions, the most anyone ever has in the league since 1981.

There is no doubt about the fact that these two defensive stalwarts make one heck of a duet and of they get going, they will spit fire in the coming season. Commenting on whether he and Trevon are the best in the business, in a recent interaction with Jori Epstein of USA TODAY Sports, Micah said, “it’s hard to say we’re the best because I know we’re young and we still make mistakes,

It’s hard to put us over Aaron Donald, the greatest defensive player in history, with Jalen Ramsey. So I won’t do it yet. But I think we can become them or even better if we learn together and stick together,” he claimed. Moreover, Parsons showered praise on Diggs and said that the sheer confidence with which he goes after the ball makes him what he is.

Without a doubt I thought Diggs was the best defensive player in the league last year,” Parsons added. “We’ve seen 20 sacks before. But in this era, we’ve never seen anyone reach 10-plus interceptions. So it’s disrespectful to me, because I think he deserves all the credit in the world and deserves to be named a top-five corner if not the best corner in the league,” he further claimed.

One thing is for sure, if these two get going, we are in for a magical Cowboys season.
