“A freakin CHEAT CODE”: Twitter goes bonkers as Aaron Donald makes sixth straight appearance in Madden 99 club

Aaron Donald

The LA Rams had a fantastic outing at the Super Bowl last season and a lot of credit for their success has to go to Aaron Donald who was absolutely relentless not only in the final moments but throughout the tournament. If someone adds so much value to your team, it is evident that you will want him on your side.

There were reports that Donald will retire after the Super Bowl and the Rams were desperate to make him stay. In fact, Rodney Harrison had openly claimed before the Super Bowl that Aaron told him that he will contemplate retirement if he ends up winning the coveted title.

As we all know, he did end up winning the title but absolutely no on wanted to see him call it quits so soon. Thankfully, Aaron agreed to sign a deal with the Rams a little while ago. He received a massive hike and became the highest paid non-QB in the history of the league. He is set to gain $95 million in total through to the 2024 season.

The above stated facts are enough to prove why he is one of a kind. Recently, Donald added another feather to his cap. The legendary defensive tackle entered the Madden 99 club for the sixth time in a row. Not many defensive tackles have been able to get this kind of recognition over the years on a consistent basis but then again, Donald is a class apart.

As expected, Twitter went bonkers after it was confirmed that Aaron has managed to keep his place intact in the elite club. While some called it just a video game rating that doesn’t really mean much, many appreciated the rating system for getting it absolutely right. Here are a few reactions:

Without a doubt, Aaron is one of the greatest defensive tackles the game has seen in recent times. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the coming season.
