Aaron Rodgers has arrived in New York and has started his journey with the New York Jets. After bidding farewell to his old teammates, Rodgers has found many new faces to get familiar with.
One of those faces is CB Sauce Gardner, who is a highly promising player for the Jets. Gardner has always shown his appreciation for Rodgers, and the pair were even spotted attending an NBA game together.
They were present for the Miami Heat-New York Knicks game for the NBA playoffs. The arena was packed with many A-list celebrities. Gardner was drafted last year in the NFL and doesn’t have the influence that Rodgers command. Therefore, the Jets’ CB got brutally roasted by the legendary QB.
As Rodgers was meeting with many celebrities during the game, he came across A-list actress Jessica Alba. However, Sauce Gardner didn’t recognize the Fantastic Four star and it got awkward for the CB.
“When we were getting seated, he was just picking on me for being young,” Sauce Gardner explained in a press conference. “We were getting seated, and he was like, ‘We’re about to sit by Jessica Alba.’ I’m just like, ‘I don’t know who that is.’ He looked at me like I’m crazy. It was just great to sit over there, and I got to meet her and one of her friends who was from Detroit, actually. It was great vibes.”
Following that, Aaron Rodgers had the time of his life when he roasted the 22-year-old throughout the evening and kept taking shots at him. Maybe, this was the bonding the pair really need to get to know each other.
Aaron Rodgers introduces Sauce Gardner to many other celebrities
Sauce Gardner did a great thing by going to the NBA game with Aaron Rodgers. The former Green Bay Packers QB is one of the most well-known athletes in the country.
Rodgers’ influence helped Gardner meet many celebrities, including the actress Jessica Alba. The NY Jets CB also met Carmelo Anthony and Kiyan Anthony during the game, among other notable celebrities.
“I got to meet a few movie stars, I got to meet Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, I met quite a few people,” Sauce Gardner stated. Rodgers is one of the most experienced players in the NFL and will be a great inspiration to many as he lives out the rest of his career in New York.
The Jets training camp has started, and Aaron Rodgers will be looking to bounce back to his best form after a horrible outing last season resulting in his trade.
