Aaron Rodgers — who is currently recovering from an Achilles injury — joined The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday for his weekly appearance on the popular ESPN show. During the show, the New York Jets quarterback was asked about the supposed difference in the media’s treatment of the Jets and the New York Giants by show’s producer Ty Schmit.

The Giants suck and they’re not talking about it as much, is that question?
Rodgers asked as a reply to the question.

Schmitt continued the question by emphasizing that the Giants are getting beat by 35 points every week, but the media still just talks about how the Jets suck. Rodgers made a joke to avoid that question.

It’s probably that Giant propaganda. They probably own the media and making sure that nobody is talking about the Giants.

It seems like Schmitt isn’t aware of the critical remarks the Giants are receiving every week. The Giants currently have one of the worst records in the league and they have been getting criticized every week for it. So, Schmitt saying that the Giants are not getting bashed for their poor performances is simply untrue.

Besides, the Giants QB Daniel Jones — who suffered a season-ending injury earlier this month — has also received his share of criticism, even when he signed the massive 4-year contract back in the off-season.

As for the Jets, they have been getting bashed for their poor outings in the ongoing NFL season. Especially, the Jets’ QB Zach Wilson has been facing the wrath of both fans and the media over his terrible performances in the absence of Aaron Rodgers. Despite his poor outings, the Jets are currently holding a 4-5 record and are still in the hunt for a postseason spot.

When will Aaron Rodgers return to the field?

It has been nearly 3 months since Aaron Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury during the Jets’ season-opening game against the Buffalo Bills. When it was confirmed that he tore his Achilles, Rodgers was expected to miss the remainder of the season.

However, Rodgers has made a surprisingly quick recovery and is now planning to make a return as early as mid-December, which is unprecedented. Rodgers reportedly told NBC’s Melissa Stark about his plans to return in December.

Still, many don’t believe the 39-year-old would be able to recover from an Achilles injury in just 4 months. Only time can tell whether Rodgers will return to the field in December or not.
