“Nobody found success after doing the belt,” Aaron Rodgers issues STERN warning for players mocking his iconic belt celebration

Aaron Rodgers is considered one of the great QBs to play in the NFL as the Packers legend has time and time again proved his worth even at the age of 39. A-Rod is proudly known for his iconic belt celebration that he pulls out after a special TD or a play.
However, every iconic celebration can be used against you, as many players have tried to taunt the legendary QB by using his celebration against him. Although there’s one caveat. Whoever tries the belt celebration, things never go right for them and something bad happens, eventually.
Rodgers recently appeared on the Pat McAfee Show where he spoke about his iconic celebration in detail and shared how people usually fail after doing the celebration.
“It just goes to the now-famous adage: don’t do the belt. Nobody who’s ever done the belt has really had a whole lot of success after doing that. So that’s just the way it goes. I didn’t make up the rules, people have put together compilations of it,” Rodgers stated on the Pat McAfee Show.
Although there’s no data to back this, there are many compilations on the Internet where things haven’t gone right for the people attempting this celebration. Rodgers and the belt celebration has a rich history as one time he was gifted the WWE Championship belt when he won the Super Bowl and since then the Packers QB has always performed the belt celebration.

Rodgers’s celebration can be a bad omen for other people to try as the Packers QB recounted an incident involving the division rivals Bears where one player attempted something similar and later something unfortunate happened.
“There was a game where we weren’t even actually playing and there was a member of the Bears who had a sack down 45 to 10 who did something that resembled kind of the belt and ended up, you know, tearing his knee up there,” Rodgers stated.
The reigning MVP issued a general disclaimer for all the players in the league to not try the celebration, as they will be met with adverse effects. Either they will lose the game or, even worse, succumb to an injury. As per the reigning MVP, the iconic belt celebration is cursed and only Rodgers can use it safely.
On a more professional front, the Packers are fighting for a place in the playoffs as they are currently on a 3 game winning streak. Although, they will have to win their remaining games against the Vikings and Lions to even have a shot at the playoffs.
