Amid their abysmal performance in the season, the New York Jets fans have something to cheer for. It seems Aaron Rodgers is finally coming back to New York as an active player. Possibilities are popping up that he might make a comeback soon without concerning the playoff future of the Jets.
A Fox Sports video, anchored by Jay Glazer, covered the excitement of the Jets fans regarding the news of Aaron Rodgers’ returning to the field. Glazer claimed that Rodgers might be coming to New York next week and he can play some matches for the struggling Jets.
Earlier, there were hints that Rodgers would only return if the Jets managed to make it to the playoffs. But Glazer hinted at a possible mentality change in the veteran QB.
The Fox Sports reporter said on the Thanksgiving pregame show,
I was told originally, ‘Look if they are out of playoff contention then Aaron is probably not going to try and come back.'
He further said,
Well, that changed this past week. I think Aaron, even if they’re out of it, still wants to show he was able to come back faster from that Achilles tear, faster than pretty much any quarterback ever.
If the four-time MVP winner finally makes a comeback within a week or two, then it will be the quickest return ever. Earlier, Cam Akers made the quickest comeback from the Achilles Tendon injury. He took nearly five and a half months to make a comeback. If Rodgers makes a comeback within three months, then he will set an example of how to make a season-ending, if not career-ending injuries.
Aaron Rodgers hinted at a comeback in The Pat McAfee Show previously
During his appearance on the Pat McAfee show recently, Rodgers hinted at a comeback to the field. He said he would love to be on the field by his birthday, which is on December 2. He is expecting a comeback within a week.
After tearing his Achilles on the very first game of the season for his new team, Rodgers had a very difficult time. He had Achilles Tendon surgery and went through difficult rehab sessions. Despite going through time, Rodgers said the rehab also offered him some beautiful experiences.
Overall it's been difficult. In the midst of all there have been some beautiful experiences that I have had. These things would not have happened If would not have been injured. Thanks to the people who stepped up when I was going through the sadness and frustration of this injury. This is not how I thought my destiny would go this year. But life is how you respond to the adversities.
If Rodgers finally returns to the fields, then he has a lot to do. The Jets have struggled throughout the season and it is difficult to change things overnight. However, Rodgers can give the New York fans a much-needed boost for the coming season.
