Aaron Rodgers recently visited the Arthur Ashe Stadium to watch Novak Djokovic play in the US Open. He posted a story about it on his Instagram account. The New York Jets quarterback posted about checking off a bucket list item witnessing the majestic performance of the Serbian.
The photo showed a red line across the Moderna logo, a company that produces COVID-19 vaccine. Rodgers’ stance on vaccines caused many controversies in the past. Djokovic also made the decision not to take any vaccine during the COVID era. Djokovic sat out last year’s U.S. Open due to his unvaccinated status. It also prevented him from entering the United States at the time.
In the photo, Rodgers wrote about ticking off a bucket list item by watching Djokovic’s greatness. He also added a hashtag #novaxdjokovic, applauding Djokovic’s decision to not get vaccinated. There was a red line across Moderna in the photo. Moderna is a pharmaceutical company responsible for making the vaccine for COVID.
Rodgers decided not to get vaccinated during COVID. He tested positive during the 2021 season and missed a game. The Packers traded Rodgers to the New York Jets this offseason. He played in the Jets final preseason game against the New York Giants, throwing for a touchdown in 8 pass attempts. He and the Jets will begin their season against the Buffalo Bills on September 11.
