For the last 18 years, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a great quarterback throwing passes, who led them to 2 Super Bowls. Ben Roethlisberger is a legend in steel city so anyone who replaces him under center will be under a lot of pressure to deliver. There are two men who are top contenders to take Big Ben‘s place- Mitchell Trubisky and Kenny Pickett, both of whom are competing for the starting QB’s job.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are no doubt looking for some stability so since Trubisky was signed he was the favourite of fans and the public alike to be the starting Quarterback but rookie Pickett has proven his mettle in the pre-season games and made his case to be a right now starter. Who will the Steelers go with is still a hot topic of debate but per Adam Schefter, the seat is hotter for Trubisky if he starts.

Adam Schefter is the ultimate NFL insider so when he says something it’s most probably true thus it must be quite worrisome for Mitchell Trubisky when he said-“Yeah. I think the feeling around the league has been that Mitchell Trubisky was in line to be the opening day starter, the favourite to be that guy and when you talk to people now here’s what you keep hearing ‘that the young kid[Kenny Pickett] is “coming on” and he’s coming quick.”

Schefter continued, “I don’t know when they’re gonna get to Kenny Pickett, but they’re gonna get to Kenny Pickett at some point in the season, I think, essentially, as soon as Mitchell Trubisky has a stumble early in the season, that will open the door to get to Kenny Pickett and give Pittsburgh a chance to go to the quarterback that seems to get better at practice every single day, that seems to impress them more and more all the time, that seems to be, to use the words that I’ve heard over and over, ‘coming on.’“
