Watch: “It’s a little dry,” Twitter has a field day as Vikings WR Adam Thielen SPITS OUT the turkey on live television after Thanksgiving win over the Patriots
Thursday night football saw the Minnesota Vikings deliver a 33-26 win against the New England Patriots as a Thanksgiving gift to their fans. The man of the moment for the Vikings was their wide receiver, Adam Thielen, who delivered the game-sealing 15-yard touchdown.
Adam Thielen had nine receptions with 61 yards, registering his best game this season. Although more than Thielen’s great game, fans will remember this night involving him for a funny incident that happened post-game. Thielen, Justin Jefferson, and Kirk Cousins were presented with Turkey legs in a post-game interview with NBC’s Melissa Stark. The wide receiver tried to have the celebratory turkey leg. The key word here is ‘tried’.
“To be able to play here on Thanksgiving at home – – -all the family here ready for a Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night – – – as I’ve got turkey in my mouth,” Thielen was heard saying while chewing the piece. “It’s a little dry.” Those were the last words before the WR stepped aside and spat the piece out.
Twitter fans declare Adam Thielen’s ‘turkey’ incident better than the Vikings win
It looked like Adam Thielen had zero clue that the camera caught this whole fiasco. The WR was followed by the camera crew, who made sure to catch the Vikings wide receiver’s misery and telecast it to the whole of the NFL. Even Justin Jefferson was seen laughing at his teammate’s expense.
Even amidst this ‘dry turkey’ incident involving Thielen, Kirk Cousins seemingly was enjoying his leg piece. Jefferson avoided having a bite on TV, credit to the diamond grill in his mouth.
And while all this was telecasted on live television, there are no browny points for guessing to what took place post this incident on Social media. Check out how fans reacted to Adam Thielen’s misery on Twitter with their funny and hilarious take.
With this win, Vikings now better their record to 9-2 and continue to stay numero uno in NFC North. The Vikings will face the Jets next week, where the Vikings are the favorites after the latter team’s starting quarterback debacle.
