I hate the talk”: Aidan Hutchinson believes the Detroit Lions are being overlooked

Being a Detroit Lions fan is hard right now, the team is unique this year and has a record even before the commencement of the 2022 NFL season, however, it is not a record that you would want to have. The Lions do not have a single primetime game this year. The team has landed in the last spot of the NFC North for four years in a row, they have failed to qualify for the playoffs since 2016.
The league office has clearly mentioned that the reason the Lions do not have a single primetime game is their lack of success, no success means no primetime slot. It is rather weird because the team had the second pick in this year’s draft, Aidan Hutchinson, and usually, you would assume that it would earn you at least one primetime slot.

“Months of talking but now we’re working”: Aidan Hutchinson

Aidan Hutchinson was the second pick in this year’s draft, he is an amazing defensive end who performed at his best in college. He is also a very outgoing personality who is not afraid to speak his mind, he has been vocal about the role he will play and how the team that drafts him will benefit almost immediately.
The Lions Rookie minicamp is currently underway and he is impressing all of his coaches, HC Dan Campbell called him a “perfect fit” for the team and went on to praise his skillset. Hutchinson spoke with the NFL about his expectations for his rookie season and how he is approaching it.
“This is what I do, at the end of the day all that talk, I hate the talk so there’s been a lot of months of talking, a lot of ra-ra but now we’re out here working, which is what I do,” Hutchinson said. Speaking on the Lions team this year, he had this to say, “I think we got the right people in place to start winning some ball games and even all the players, it’s a great vibe here right now and I can’t wait till all the vets get here and we get after it as a team.“
Clearly, Aidan is optimistic about the team’s performance this season and the fact that they have no primetime games should just motivate them and drive them to exceed the expectations.
