“I’ll represent a 7 jersey in the stands”: Rob Gronkowski drops a major hint at his participation in the next NFL season

Tom Brady is one of the finest quarterbacks to ever play the game. Moreover, with time, the QB has become a tremendous leader. His presence motivates the other players on the side to do well and at times, even forces the retired players to come back and rule the game.

When he retired, the Bucs were just a tad nervous as some other star players were also leaving the franchise. Ali Marpet retired and then Alex Cappa also signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, much to the delight of the Bucs fans, Brady decided to come out of retirement just weeks after calling it quits and as soon as he arrived, another one of his pals, Shaq Mason, with whom he won the championship with the Patriots also joined the Bucs. However, it seems like even Brady’s presence hasn’t convinced Gronk to rejoin the team.

Recently, Todd Bowles was asked by reporters about the status of Gronk’s future, “It’s status quo,” he said and added that the team is not clear on when the tight end will make a decision. However, most recently, Gronk hinted that he might not be in the mood to come back at all.

Bucs running back Leonard Fournette took to Instagram and wrote, “I wonder how many 7 jerseys I’m going to see in the stands this year.” Replying to what Leonard had written, Gronk wrote, “I’ll represent a 7 jersey in the stands for ya!

Gronk’s comment clearly suggests that he might not come back in Bucs jersey in the 2022 season. Fans too realized it after reading Rob’s comments and started pleading with him to come back for at least one more season. It will be interesting to see what Gronk finally ends up deciding.
