The NBA star Ja Morant, who plays as the point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, has been recently involved in some questionable activities in the last few weeks. Furthermore, the star player was recently suspended for two games for another one of his antics. And now, after the incident, a two-week-old video of the Eagles WR AJ Brown clowning him has started to resurface on social media.
Morant has been suspended for 2 games for flashing a firearm during his Instagram live stream. This is not the first time he has been caught doing something like this. Recently, he was accused of punching a 17-year-old kid and threatening him with a gun. Furthermore, the Athletic recently reported that Ja Morant’s friends might’ve pointed a gun at the Indiana Pacers team staff.
And now, he has been caught flashing his gun on social media. However, Ja Morant has apologized for his behavior on Saturday and has vowed to work on getting better overall.
“I take full responsibility for my actions last night,” Morant said in the statement. “I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis, and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
Eagles WR AJ Brown advised Ja Morant to chill
Even before the gun-flashing incident, when Ja Morant was involved in other questionable activities, the Philadelphia Eagles WR AJ Brown clowned him for his antics before advising him to just chill. This ‘advice’ from Brown came during his recent appearance on the Raw Room podcast.
“They say your boy (Morant) trying to be Larry Hoover man,” joked Brown when he was asked what he thinks of the Grizzlies. “He tough af, he just needs to chill, he needs to chill.”
For those who don’t know, Larry Hoover is a convicted felon and former gang leader of the Chicago street gang, the Gangster Disciples. So, the Eagles’ Pro Bowl receiver Brown’s joke landed perfectly and filled the room with laughter.
Nevertheless, the gun scandal of Ja Morant was deeper than many people previously thought. Since Morant was using his gun in Denver, people speculate that he must have brought his firearm on the team plane, which might warrant a severe punishment from the league. Some reports suggest Morant could get suspended for fifty games.
