Antonio Brown has massive aspirations for his retirement life. The former NFL wide receiver wants Donald Trump to endorse him as his vice presidential candidate in the upcoming US presidential election.

The 35-year-old hasn’t had a stable professional career since running off half-naked from MetLife Stadium in 2021.

He officially announced his retirement from football two years later, in March 2023. Since then, he has bounced around from owning an indoor football team to producing rap songs that never flew.

Yet one area of his life remained constant throughout those years, and that’s his social media presence. Brown loves to clown around trolls and famous individuals under the banner of #CTESPN. It’s a play on CTE (a medical condition of the brain).

While the majority of the football fraternity agrees that his actions prove the existence of the condition, Brown has time and again denied it.

However, it appears that the former Pittsburgh Steelers playmaker is job hunting. To put it bluntly, his target is the VP post beside former US President Donald Trump.

While the head of the Republican Party is busy campaigning for the elections, AB shared a video of the 77-year-old speaking in favor of him. Or was he?

Did Donald Trump really announce picking Antonio Brown as his vice president candidate?

The answer is a simple no. With one look, anyone who has seen similar videos before will be able to deduce that it’s a deep fake. An AI (artificial intelligence)-generated video that mimics famous people’s appearance and voice. 

In reality, Donald Trump has yet to decide on his VP candidate. He can easily bring back Mike Pence or support a new face like Tulsi Gabbard, but Bloomberg reported that Vivek Ramaswamy is out of the race. One thing is for sure: It won’t be Antonio Brown.

Then the question arises: Why is Brown suddenly talking about politics? Well, it didn’t sprout overnight. Besides trying to be buddy-buddy with Trump, he has also trolled Joe Biden so much that the POTUS allegedly blocked him on Twitter.

His primary target in the video clip was not exactly Trump but rather Shannon Sharpe. Brown has been constantly on the Hall of Famer’s tight end for some time. He even gave Sharpe a nickname, Dinosaur. 

It’s unclear as to why Sharpe is on Brown’s radar. But he doesn’t exactly fish for any reason; rather, he deliberately makes fun of the individual’s weak spot or any sort of controversial news. Some of his social media victims are Aaron Rodgers, Taylor Swift, and Dak Prescott.
