Antonio Brown never ceases to amaze. This wide receiver is now remembered not for his iconic plays and insane route-running skills but for his shenanigans off the field and adverse responses to criticism.

This time around, Brown has taken a shot at Michael Irvin, the playmaker and former Dallas Cowboys legend, for leaving him off of his list of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history.

The Playmaker listed Jerry Rice, himself, Drew Pearson, and Tyreek Hill on the Mount Rushmore list of wide receivers on Undisputed on FS1. Well, Antonio Brown was clearly offended that he was not up there because he had some really “polished” words for Michael Irvin after this snub.

He tweeted an offensive message, which at this point is not surprising considering who we are dealing with. He called Michael Irvin a “fa**ot” and accused him of being on drugs. He called him “PlayerHater” while wishing him a Merry Christmas.

Statistically, Antonio Brown is better than Michael Irvin

Antonio Brown goes wild when he gets frustrated with someone; the wideout claimed to have better stats than Michael Irvin. Well, let’s say what the numbers say: Michael Irvin has 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns throughout his career while averaging 15.9 yards.

He was a 3x Super Bowl champion, led the league in receiving yards for one season, is a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor, and is a 5x Pro Bowler.

Antonio Brown has 928 receptions, 12,291 yards, and 83 touchdowns in his career while averaging 13.2 yards per carry. He is a 1x Super Bowl champion, a 7x Pro Bowler, led the league in receptions twice, and led the league in touchdowns in one year. Brown kind of has the edge over the Playmaker here.

However, 3x Super Bowl champ, that does stand out. In terms of personal numbers, AB is better on paper. But it cannot come as a shocker that Irvin decided to put himself up there.

What athlete would not put themselves up there among the greatest to ever do it because that would mean they lack confidence and do not see themselves as good enough?

AB is the gift that keeps on giving; he can go months without creating controversy in the NFL, leading to optimism that he’s getting better, and the most random of comments would trigger him, sending him into a bizarre social media rant.

While he is no longer playing football, he is enjoying some success in his rap career and other business endeavors. All is well for him, even though his NFL career did not end in the best way, but hey, as long as he’s happy!
