Everyone in and around the league is aware of Antonio Brown‘s famous exit from the Bucs-Jets game. The former NFL wide receiver removed his equipment on the sidelines and walked off the field while the game was being played. It was common knowledge that no one stepped up for AB after his act, not even Tom Brady who was the main reason Brown was playing in Tampa Bay.

Recently, Brown was the guest on Tyreek Hill‘s “It Needed To Be Said” podcast. During the conversation, AB said that there were only two people who supported him during his trying time — Kanye West and Kevin Durant.

Brown said, “That’s the thing about music. It could go viral any moment. Imagine you run off the field, bro, and like, Kanye West like, ‘Yo, pull up to L.A. I’m working on Donda 2, I need you here.’ I’m like, You need me? like alright we there, man. I’m like, really into it… When I went off the field. I stayed in New York. I didn’t even go home.”

The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout also added that NBA star Kevin Durant said he was being mistreated. The public consensus is that AB is in the wrong and his action following the exit was also not up to the mark, given how he disrespected Brady’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. One thing is for sure, whenever Brown’s career will be discussed, his infamous meltdown will be the highlight.

Antonio Brown was a great wide receiver and was regarded as generational talent by many. However, his antics with the Steelers, Patriots, and Raiders had him blacklisted from every team in the league. However, legendary quarterback Tom Brady managed to get the Buccaneers’ front office to sign Brown to the roster.

In the 2020 season, Antonio Brown was the poster boy for reform and had a great season with a touchdown in Super Bowl LV as well. However, things went downhill soon after and AB had his infamous exit at the MetLife Stadium.

This walk off the field was probably the last thing AB will ever do on the gridiron because no team is interested in having themselves be the object of collective public hate. At least AB had his two friends stay with him during the worst time of his life.
