From having the world at his feet as regarded as the best receiver in the NFL to being slammed all over the internet for a petty thought on child support. Former NFL receiver Antonio Brown is not very vocal about his opinions, however recently his one opinion has been viral all over the internet.
“F**k child support,” said Brown as he shared a bizarre illustration on social media, that shows him in the Pittsburgh Steelers uniform, holding the football in one hand, and grabbing bundles of cash in the other, while a woman chases behind him. The woman appears to be snatching the money off Brown’s hand, and holding stacks of money in her hands, and many bundles have fallen on the ground.
Brown shared his bizarre post following his recent arrest in Broward County, Fla. He allegedly failed to pay child support of thousands of dollars to the mother of his daughter, Antanyiah.
Antanyiah’s mother, Wiltrice Jackson, told TMZ that Brown owes her $31,000 in child support. Jackson stated that she wants her ex-wideout to be arrested as he is even mocking the judge, in the delusion of considering himself untouchable. This arrest for not paying child support ended up becoming a gateway to legal trouble for Brown. It was found that last year, in December, an arrest warrant was issued in Tampa for Brown on the charges of domestic battery to an unidentified woman. The incident took place in the month of November, of what started as a verbal argument became a physical brawl. Brown allegedly threw a shoe at the woman and threw her outside of his house.
Another incident that ESPN reported was a temporary risk protection order was denied by a judge that would prevent Brown from accessing firearms or ammunition, on November 29 last year. But the charges were dropped in a month.
Why was Antonio Brown arrested in Florida?
The former NFL star was arrested in Florida on Sunday outside his home in Dania Beach, at midnight based on the warrant issued by the Miami-Dade Police Department, as the matter was covered by Local 10 News. He was taken into custody on the order of the Broward County Sheriff’s Department and was released shortly at a bond of $15,000.
The arrest was made after Jackson’s statement alleging Brown for not paying thousands of dollars in child support for their 15-year-old daughter Antanyiah. Her attorney Pascal Michel revealed that Antanyiah wants her father to be more involved in their daughter’s life, and isn’t doing this for any financial gain.
Jackson also mentioned that Antanyiah has a natural talent to become a track-and-field athlete, who is hoping to follow in the footsteps of her father in sports. She stated that Brown should rather be proud and support his child, but instead, he doesn’t seem interested.
