Antonio Brown threw shade at the media following reports about an arrest warrant being issued against him for defaulting upon child support payments surfaced.

Antonio Brown is back in some hot water and this time, the former NFL wide receiver is facing the music for defaulting on his child support. The recently crowned co-owner of the Albany Empire in the National Arena League faces an arrest warrant against him which was issued on the 14th of April. The former Pro Bowler owed payments to Wiltrice Jackson.

Antonio Brown, later on, cleared the air by posting proof that he had, in fact, made his child support payments. The former Pittsburgh Steeler and Tampa Bay Buccaneer took to Instagram and posted a story that highlights a $33,260.58 payment that was directed to Florida’s Child Support Program.

Brown spoke to AJ Pankowski of WGRB Albany and defended himself. “Yeah, well first off, anytime, you say a guy own a team, there’s going to be some garnish in the wages, but let’s get this clear, I paid my bills, I’m a professional. It’s about running the Empire and running the business. We don’t need negativity on my name. It’s bigger than me,” Brown said.

I’m not going carrying no leaches around me! Surround yourself with people that helps you be a better you! Surround yourself around greatness that inspire you. Life about living. Mind your business keep living.”

He was referring to the TMZ report which broke the news regarding the arrest warrant being issued against him. He attempted to turn this situation into a positive one by defending himself and spreading the message to not focus on others’ business but to mind your own. The former NFL star ironically urged his followers to surround themselves with people that help them be the best versions of themselves.

Antonio Brown has had his fair share of run-ins with the law in recent years. He’s had an arrest warrant issued for an alleged domestic battery incident, was involved in a standoff with law enforcement in Tampa, settled a lawsuit that accused him of sexual assault, allegedly exposed himself to a female guest in a hotel in Dubai, and has been accused of selling a counterfeit watch to a dealer. Antonio Brown continues to live recklessly and justifies his lifestyle by believing that he is living by his own rules.
