The Cleveland Browns are yet to find a solution to their quarterback crisis even as the new NFL season beckons on the horizon. The Browns have failed in all of their efforts to arrange a trade move for Baker Mayfield after bringing in highly controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.

Baker Mayfield too was quite miffed after the signing and had signalled his intention of leaving the franchise if an offer arrived from a rival franchise. However, as of now there hasn’t been much progress on that front and he still in the books of the Browns.

However, it seems that the quarterback has given up hope of playing for the Browns next season and is already thinking about moving on to his next venture, if an when that comes.

With the chances of Deshaun Watson getting suspended for an entire season increasing, there might come a situation when Baker Mayfield may have to play for them. He was also quizzed on that subject and he did not rule out playing for the Browns but claimed that negotiations would have to be initiated from the side of the franchise.

“I think for that to happen there would have to be some reaching out,” Mayfield told reporters during his youth football camp in Norman, Oklahoma. “But we’re ready to move on, I think — on both sides.”
