The Dallas Cowboys are widely considered Super Bowl contenders this season. They currently have a record of 10 wins and 4 losses. It’s next to impossible for the Cowboys to win the NFC East division but they have already clinched a playoff spot.

ESPN analyst Bart Scott believes this is the best chance for the Cowboys to get to the Super Bowl. Speaking on First Take with Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim, and Sam Acho, Scott said the Cowboys should take advantage of the flawed NFC and get to the Super Bowl. He continued to explain his statement that there are no good quarterbacks currently playing in the NFC and the Cowboys should have no problem beating the likes of Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins, and Brock Purdy.

“If not now, then when,” asked Scott. He went on to say that injuries shouldn’t be an excuse for the Cowboys because every team is suffering from injuries. He also added that since Dak Prescott is getting paid like the best quarterback, he is supposed to elevate his team. Bart shockingly compared San Francisco winning the NFL championship with Brock Purdy to Memphis winning the NBA championship without Ja Morant.

While it might be true that NFC is lacking talent at the quarterback position, Dak Prescott will not be playing against the quarterbacks, instead, he will be playing against some of the toughest and scariest defenses in not just the NFC but the whole league.

Dallas Cowboys are pretenders

Dallas Cowboys have convinced everyone that they’re Super Bowl contenders. But their recent struggle against the Houston Texans and their embarrassing loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars clearly show that Dallas Cowboys are merely pretenders. They still have many holes to fill in their squad.

Dak Prescott’s turnover has been the biggest struggle for the Cowboys, he would certainly love another target to throw to other CeeDee Lamb but Jerry Jones thought it would be a good idea to trade Amari Cooper for a couple of fifth-round draft picks. Cowboys’ defense is the best thing about their team and the Cowboys would hope that their defense shows up in a big way during the postseason.

The Dallas Cowboys however will not be looking that far just yet, they will be focusing on their NFC East division rival Philadelphia Eagles, as they are set to face each other on Christmas Eve.
