The Halloween mood has stepped into the NFL world and none other than Joe Burrow is the flag bearer. Ahead of the vital match against the San Francisco 49ers, the player was spotted in a NASA sweatshirt and an alien mask. He entered San Francisco with this costume and the Bengals’ social media shared a message.
The social media page of the Cincinnati Bengals claimed that Burrow does not belong to the earth. It was a sarcastic comment comparing Burrow with aliens considering the greatness of the star. “We were always sure that he was not human,” the Instagram account of the Cincinnati Bengals team shared a message from their Instagram account with Burrow’s picture.
The picture portrays that everything is in line for them. Slowly, they are gaining the lost confidence and trying to provide their best on the turf. It is a sigh of relief for the team management as they had one of the most horrible starts to this year’s campaign. They had a losing start to this year’s campaign. After two consecutive losses, they registered their first win. However, the streak did not last long and after four games they were standing with a 3-1 record.
Things started changing after that. The Bengals are famous for making comebacks and this year can also mark the same. Last year, they were down by 2-0 and then showcased nearly perfect football. As a result, they won 12 consecutive games and entered the playoffs with a 12-2 record. Now, this season, they are standing at 3-3 and if they can win the game against the 49ers then their season hopes will be very much in line. The playoff hopes will also be strengthened.
All good for Joe Burrow now
At the beginning of the season, Burrow was limping; both metaphorically and literally. He was suffering from back-to-back injuries. He injured his calf in the team’s training season and was out for the entire preseason.
Missing out in several pre-season games was reflected in his first game. In the second game, Burrow re-injured his calf and failed to deliver staunch performances for his team.
However, things are getting better with time. Injury concerns are not on the scene as of now and the QB is improving. The Arizona Cardinals witnessed glimpses of old Joe Burrow as he covered 317 yards with three touchdowns. He was clinical against the Seahawks as well. The player registered 185 yards of passing with two touchdowns. The quarterback is slowly coming back to his usual character.
