Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals will go against the Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills in the second round of the NFL postseason this weekend. The fans are looking forward to the fireworks in this game as the two offensive juggernauts are ready to go all out in hopes of moving to the next round. Furthermore, the game has created a buzz around the league for another reason. This is the first time both teams will face each other since Damar Hamlin‘s horrific injury in their week 17 matchup.
The Bills defensive back suffered a cardiac arrest after tackling wide receiver Tee Higgins during the first quarter of their week 17 matchup. Hamlin was administered CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on the field and was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further treatment. He has since made a substantial improvement in his recovery and has been discharged from the hospital.
After the injury, the game was postponed and was eventually canceled by the league, which led to controversial decisions in determining the postseason seeding. However, everything has gone smoothly so far and the 3rd seed Bengals are preparing to face the 2nd seeded Bills in the AFC Divisional round this weekend. Furthermore, Damar Hamlin, who is a regular at the Bills facility even after suffering a life-threatening injury, is expected to show up in the rematch.

The Bills DB Hamlin is not cleared to play football. In fact, the doctors have said that it’s too soon to even think about a return to playing professional football. So, he will not suit up for the Bills any time soon. However, he is expected to show up at the Bengals game to provide the team with moral support.
Tee Higgins was asked by a reporter about a potential reunion with Hamlin, to which Higgins replied that he’s looking forward to sharing laughs and giggles with the defensive back. “I’m pretty sure we’re just going to chop it up, laughs and giggles and just be happy to see him,” Higginson said Thursday about a potential reunion with Hamlin before the AFC divisional round matchup this weekend.
The wideout hasn’t spoken with Hamlin since the injury, but he has kept in touch with his family. “Just letting his family do what he needs to do with all his loved ones and stuff like that,” Higgins said. “Hopefully, I get to see him on the field Sunday and speak to him,” said Higgins on Thursday.
On the sporting side of things, the defending AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals led by Joe Burrow will look to secure a victory against the Buffalo Bills this weekend and move on to the next round of the NFL postseason.
