Bill Belichick has had one of the worst seasons of his career. The legendary HC, known for his aggressive mentality and attacking skillset, has failed to seal only three wins in 13 games. 

In addition, he was also subjected to some other poor records, like failing to score a single point in a game or losing a game by 35-0. Someone new to the NFL world will hardly believe that this is the same Bill Belichick who won six SB titles with the same franchise earlier.

There are speculations that the franchise does not want to continue with Belichick anymore. Reports are circulating that the Patriots franchise might part ways with Belichick. Owner Robert Kraft is reportedly frustrated with the HC and can complete the golden handshake with him.

The Patriots will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs in their next encounter. Ahead of the game, Belichick attended the press conference. The media asked him whether he had received any signal regarding his job security. The veteran head coach, in his classic attire, avoided the question.

It was evident from his statement that he wanted to avoid risk and did not want to get into any tussle with a controversial statement. The Patriots had a surprising win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, that was not enough to put a sure bet on him for the next season. In the next game, the team suffered a hefty loss.

More trouble brews for Bill Belichick

Apart from the poor record, Belichick is suffering from multiple troubles coming from inside. Malik Cummingham, the third-choice quarterback for the team, left them for the Baltimore Ravens. He will have the opportunity to reunite with Lamar Jackson. 

His departure was welcomed by Trent Brown, his teammate at the Patriots.

Malik Cunningham had earlier thought that he could solve the QB problem for the Giants. After the failure of Mac Jones, the Giants had the opportunity to choose between Bailey Zappe and Cunningham. Belichick chose Zappe over Cunningham.
