Bills’ Damar Hamlin expresses desire to end his career with the Steelers
Hamlin got a new life after he was subjected to a cardiac arrest last year in January.

The world has changed for the Buffalo Bills safety, Damar Hamlin. After the player went through a cardiac arrest last year, people thought his footballing career was finished. He was fighting death in the hospital bed. However, beating all odds, the safety came back to football last season and had some minutes as a Bills player.
In a recent interview, Hamlin opened up regarding his future planning. He wished to play football for his home city of Pittsburgh in the coming time. The safety said in the interview that he would love to be in the Pittsburgh Steelers team.

I think ending my career and finishing as a Pittsburgh Steeler would be a dream. I played at Pitt, so you know, I was in the stadium, I played at Heinz Field probably for like eight years straight, between WPIAL championships and Pitt, so a dream come true would be finishing my career as a Steeler.
The safety was attending an event at White Oak when the journalists asked him whether he would like to be a part of the Steelers team. Hamlin made this remark while answering the question.
Hamlin, a McKees Rocks native, played for Central Catholic School in his school days. His connection with Pittsburgh extended to college football as he represented the University of Pittsburgh. No wonder, safety’s heart is rooted in the city and the culture.
Damar Hamlin is a longtime admirer of the Steelers
During the presser, Hamlin elaborated further on how he wished to be a part of the Steelers’ practice in his younger days. Hamlin expressed he used to be a spectator of the Steelers’ training. According to CBS, the player did not leave a stone unturned to express his love for the Steelers.
Every day I would finish practice at Pitt, I would work out, shower, go get my food, and then sit up top and watch the Steelers practice, every day from freshman until graduating as a redshirt senior.

Pittsburgh had contributed a lot to the success of the safety. He earned All-ACC second-team honors in the 2020 season. He was later selected for the Buffalo Bills squad in the 2021 season as the sixth-round draft pick.
