Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills suffered a humiliating loss against the Cincinnati Bengals in their divisional-round matchup on Sunday. Furthermore, the Bills are having an implosion after the loss as their star wideout Stefon Diggs was seen yelling at his quarterback Allen. And now, their GM Brandon Beane has received a massive backlash on social media following his subtle jab at the Bengals.
The Bengals led by their third-year quarterback Joe Burrow went into Highmark Stadium as underdogs and absolutely decimated the Bills on all three phases of the football game. The Bengals exploited the Bills’ weakness in the trenches and pounded the ball with the help of their star running back Joe Mixon, who rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown while averaging 5.2 yards per attempt.
Following their ugly performance many people started blaming the Bills franchise QB Allen for the loss but he was far from the reason they lost this game. After the game, the Bills head coach Sean McDermott admitted he was out-coached by the Bengals HC Zac Taylor, and took the blame for the loss. However, Bills GM Brandon Beane has a different perspective on the loss which doesn’t sit well with social media.

Speaking at a press conference, Brandon Beane said that they are at a disadvantage since they are paying Josh Allen a hefty sum of amount. “We’re paying Josh Allen a pretty hefty number. So, there [are] the constraints of the cap, but they have a really good team,” said Beane at the press conference.
“They have a good team. They, right now, are on the advantage of a rookie quarterback contract, they had some lean years and, without getting too much into their build, I don’t want to suck bad enough to have to get Ja’Marr Chase,” Beane said. “He’s a heck of a talent, I’d love to have him. But you’ve got to go through some lean years to do that.”
NFL fans on Social media did not like Brandon Beane’s statement about the Bengals’ “lean years” and called out him for it. Furthermore, the Bengals fans bashed Beane for being a sore loser and a bad general manager.
Nevertheless, the Bengals wouldn’t be focused on the Bills, they would be focused on their next opponent Kansas City Chiefs, who they will be facing in the AFC Championship this weekend.
