The Super Bowl is one of the most watched sporting events in the world which attracts millions of fans each year. It’s one of the most anticipated games of the year and football fans wait for a long time. The Super Bowl Halftime Show is also one such event that is streamed by millions and not just football fans but by the general public as well who tune in to watch their favorite celebrities perform on one of the biggest stages.
This year at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show it was iconic American pop artist Rihanna who set the stage on fire with her sizzling performance. Moreover, the trendsetter did all of this while being pregnant with her second child which need not be said is a huge feat. Even then while everyone should be appreciating her efforts, there are some internet trolls who have made fun of her for being pregnant and getting up on stage.
Boosie BadAzz makes insensitive comments about Rihanna’s pregnancy
American rapper Torence Ivy Hatch who is more popularly known as Boosie BadAzz or Boosie has recently talked in an objectifying tone about Rihanna’s performance at the 2023 Super Bowl. Speaking on Rihanna, Boosie said that as she was pregnant, the iconic pop star couldn’t ‘twerk properly’.
“No slander against Riri that’s what I think no slander. She was up there pregnant yeah she couldn’t twerk that ass right,” he said. In addition to this, the interviewer and Boosie BadAzz also disrespected the father of Rihanna’s child ASAP Rocky as Boosie said that if he was in the former’s place he would not ‘stop humping’ her.
However while Boosie BadAzz has spoken in such a derogatory manner, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal has come out to defend Rihanna. Shaquille O’Neal said that everyone disrespecting Rihanna even as she delivered a performance while being pregnant should shut up.
“All you people disrespecting Rihanna, shut your face. Shut it up. We living in a world where people got too much freedom, keep your f***ing thoughts to yourself.”
Rihanna performed some of her most popular hits including “B—- Better Have My Money”,”Where Have You Been”, “Only Girl (In The World)”, “We Found Love””Rude Boy” and “Work”.
