Deshaun Watson has divided people in the football world since allegations were made against him for sexually assaulting more than 23 women during his time with the Houston Texans. Watson faced suspension for his actions but is back on the football field, playing for the Cleveland Browns. He signed a $230 million, fully guaranteed contract with the Browns in 2022.
A war of words broke out between former NFL quarterback Brady Quinn and Deshaun Watson’s personal coach, Quincy Avery, on Twitter. It started with Avery responding to a tweet in which Quinn was calling out Watson for not being a consistent performer for the Browns. Watson has been injured multiple times during this season, and Quinn called him out on that.

After some back-and-forth on Twitter, Quinn came up with a below-the-belt response to Avery’s tweets. When Avery didn’t understand a certain point of Quinn, he asked him about it. Quinn came up with a rather weird response. She wrote:
How about we massage this conversation and get it to a happy ending? Does that sound satisfactory?
Quinn was referencing the sexual harassment lawsuit against Watson during his time in Houston. Avery did not respond to the tweet.
Quinn was a former NFL quarterback who played for multiple teams, including the Cleveland Browns, during his seven-year NFL career. He has been working as an analyst post-retirement.
Kevin Stefanski confirms that Deshaun Watson is still the ‘leader’ of the Browns
Deshaun Watson hasn’t had a great start to his 2023 NFL season. One of the richest QBs in the NFL, he was expected to lead the Browns to the playoffs this season. He was removed from the Indianapolis Colts game after taking a hit in the first quarter. Browns’ HC Kevin Stefanski said that Watson is still the team’s leader.

Stefanski said:
I'm always going to be protective of my players, especially at the quarterback position. Just felt like the right thing in that moment was to hold him out of that game.
Watson was replaced by the team’s backup QB, PJ Walker, and led the team on a game-winning drive late against the Colts.
The Browns improved to 4-2 after their win against the Colts on Sunday. They have a great defense, and if Watson garners any sort of form, they have the offense to deal with any team in the AFC. The Browns will play their next game against the Seattle Seahawks on October 29.
