The former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is once again making headlines for non-football reasons. This time, the Hall of Fame QB has caught the limelight by lending his support to the former Fox News reporter Tucker Carlson, who was recently fired by Fox Network.

The 11-time Pro Bowl quarterback Brett Favre took to social media to show his support for the controversial news reporter Tucker Carlson. “I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak,” tweeted Favre about his stance on Fox Network firing one of their most popular personalities.

Favre also shared a video clip of Meghan Kelly, a former Fox News reporter giving her opinion on the whole Carlson issue. In that clip, Kelly claims despite the outrage from some people, Fox Network is betting on the upcoming presidential election to get their audience back who are boycotting their network for firing Carlson.

“They’ve got a debate in August. You can’t resist. You’ll go. You’ll forgive everything. They’re banking on it,” Kelly said. “You’re gonna tune in to the Fox News primetime, you lap dogs. It’s what you always do. It’s how they have billions.”

Carlson was fired by Fox Network on April 24. According to reports, the firing of Carlson is related to the network settling a defamation lawsuit brought up by Dominion Voting Systems.

Brett Favre found himself in trouble for allegedly misusing federal welfare funds in Mississippi. Back in February, the Packers icon sued Pat McAfee, Shannon Sharpe, and auditor Shad White after they reported that Favre intentionally stole money from the poor people in his home state.

Furthermore, they also reported that Favre used that fund to build an indoor volleyball stadium for his alma mater, Southern Miss. The lawsuit claims that all three people used Favre’s name to further their audience and to get social media likes and interactions.

In April, the 3-time league MVP QB filed a rectified complaint against the former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee and added 12 new claims which addressed the import issue of causing actual malice.

“McAfee knew that — or had a high degree of awareness of the fact that — he had no basis for his false statements that Favre had stolen money from poor people,” reads the amended lawsuit“No media report or anything or anyone else had stated that Favre had stolen any money from anyone.”

Amidst these recent scandals, Brett Favre’s old controversies, such as the Packers QB sending lewd pictures of himself to the former New York Jets report, Jennifer Stager are also getting a lot of new attention.
