The former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is one of the most legendary QBs in NFL history. However, his off-field activities have often become a black mark in his remarkable legacy. In that trend, Favre is now facing severe criticisms for publicly stumping for the controversial conservative host Tucker Carlson after he was fired by Fox News.

The popular Fox News reporter Tucker Carlson was shockingly fired by the Network on April 24. Following the firing of Carlson, his supporters have called for a boycott of the popular network. The Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is one among them. Favre took to social media to show his support for Carlson with a tweet.

“I’m with Tucker time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak,” tweeted Favre with a video clip featuring the former Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly. In the video, Kelly also calls for her supporters to boycott the network and claimed the network is banking on the upcoming Presidential elections to lure the viewers back in.

The 53-year-old Carson’s firing is seemingly related to the lawsuit settlement the network had with the Dominion voting systems according to multiple reports. Nevertheless, Favre supporting the controversial host did not sit well with his fans.

Many people on social media hammered the 11-time Pro Bowl QB Brett Favre for publicly supporting the conservative news reporter Tucker Carlson. The legendary Packers QB asked his fans to boycott Fox News until they reach their senses.

Twitter rolled out Favre’s previous controversies and scandals after the 3-time league MVP raised his voice in support of Carlson. Favre has faced many controversies in his career.

Back in 2010, Favre got in trouble for allegedly sending lewd photos of himself to the then-New York Jets reporter Jennifer Sterger. He never faced any consequences for it and Sterger recently claimed that she has forgiven Favre for his action even though he deserve it.

He denied any wrongdoings in that case and sued Pat McAfee, Shannon Sharpe, and Shad White for reporting that he intentionally stole money from the poor people of Mississippi. Favre is currently battling a lawsuit with McAfee, Sharpe, and White regarding the Mississippi scandal.
