“NEEDS TO HAPPEN” – Broncos fans rooting for their team to tank for Caleb Williams to combat the Patrick Mahomes threat in AFC West

The Denver Broncos are 0-3 through three weeks with a lot of questions and very few answers. Although their QB Russell Wilson has performed much better than last season, the Broncos still haven’t found the winning formula. They got demolished by the Miami Dolphins last Sunday by 50 points. The Broncos are a part of one of the toughest divisions in football. It includes the reigning champions the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs also have one the best QBs in the NFL in Patrick Mahomes. He and the Chiefs have dominated the league since he became the starter. Mahomes is 11-0 against the Broncos in his career so far. The Broncos will need someone to go toe-to-toe with Mahomes if they have to stand a chance against the mighty Chiefs. Enter Caleb Williams.

Caleb Williams has been touted to be the potential number 1 overall pick for the 2024 NFL Draft. The reigning Heisman trophy winner is considered to be one of the greatest QB prospects to come out of college in recent years. NFL teams are keeping a close eye on his development and would love to have him on their roster. The Broncos are one of the teams in the Caleb Williams sweepstakes. A potential Mahomes vs. Williams battle twice a year? Yes Please!

Caleb Williams started his college career with Oklahoma Sooners in 2021, but transferred to USC after just one season with the Sooners. He had a terrific first season with the Trojans throwing for more than 4,500 yards, 42 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

Fans want the Broncos to get Caleb Williams

The Denver Broncos already have a potential future Hall of Famer in Russell Wilson as their quarterback. However, Wilson has struggled in Denver and the team has started the 2023 season losing all their games so far. Broncos fans on social media want their team to do everything they can to get USC QB Caleb Williams next year to compete against the Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes.
