The Denver Broncos played the Chicago Bears against each other on Sunday. Both of these teams came into the game with a torrid start to their season, losing all their games until then. The Broncos lost their last game in historic fashion against the Miami Dolphins. They became the first team since 1966 to concede 70 points in an NFL game.
However, the Broncos pulled off a 21-point comeback against the Bears to win the game on Sunday. The Bears came out firing as QB Justin Fields and the Bears offense looked to have found their rhythm. The Broncos, though, scored 17 points in the fourth quarter en route to an astonishing comeback win. Broncos QB Russell Wilson talked about the game and said that it was one of his ‘favorite’ moments of his career.
“[I’ve] had some great moments in my career, but that was one of my favorite ones,” Wilson said after the Broncos’ 31-28 win. “When the game is on the line, that’s when you’ve got to love it most. That’s when you’ve got to love it most. You’ve got to have great belief, and you’ve got to have no fear.” Wilson moved into the top 10 all-time list of quarterbacks with fourth-quarter comebacks.
Wilson has had a great start to his season. Although the team has won only one game in four weeks, Wilson has been balling since the opening game. He and the Broncos will hope to build on this win in the upcoming games. They will play the New York Jets in their next game on October 8.
Courtland Sutton praises Russell Wilson for his belief in the team
The Denver Broncos were down by 21 points against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. It looked like they would fall into an embarrassing 0-4 hole after the game. Russell Wilson, however, had different plans as he rallied his teammates and led the Broncos to a thrilling comeback win in Chicago.

WR Courtland Sutton praised his QB for the belief he had in his team after trailing early in the game. “He comes to the sideline and he’s like, ‘They know we’re coming back. They know we’re coming back,'” Sutton said. “To have our quarterback, our guy, come to the sideline and let it be known — still down 14 points — that we’re in this, we’ve still got a chance, I think it really sparked something for all of us. I just love ‘3,’ man.”
The Broncos eventually came back, scoring 17 fourth-quarter points. They won their first game of the season and will look to get another next week against the New York Jets. Wilson ended with 223 yards and three touchdowns, whereas Sutton had three receptions for 27 yards and scored a crucial touchdown.
