After a sluggish start in their 2023-24 NFL campaign, the Denver Broncos are slowly picking up their pace. They emerged victorious in the last two games and moved on to a 4-5 record. The latest victory came against one of the tournament favorites, Buffalo Bills. The season is more or less over for them. However, these late victories will provide them with needed oxygen for the next one.

The win against the Bills included Russell Wilson‘s brilliant performance on the turf. He led his team to overcome the Bills’ challenge. He had an insane passing completion rate of 82.8% and covered 193 yards of passing with two touchdowns. He outplayed the Bills’ defense and the signal caller Josh Allen in the game.

Despite the vintage win, not everything seemed in line for the Broncos. Marvin Mims, the wide receiver of the Broncos, did not seem happy as he was not targeted by the Broncos QB Wilson. He had a horrible game as he finished with zero receives for zero yards. The WR did not hide his frustration after the game. While providing autographs to his fans, the WR was asked why he failed to have a reception and he simply answered that the QB did not target him.

If something is wrong between the two, then the team management needs to sit down and sort things out. The Broncos had majorly suffered due to the differences earlier and if these things persist, then they are going to suffer in the next season as well.

Slow start finished playoff hopes for the Broncos

The slow start to their 2023-24 NFL campaign put the nail in the coffin for the Denver Broncos. After an abysmal last season, the Broncos appointed Sean Payton as the head coach. However, Payton failed to provide a thundering start to the team.

They went 1-5 in their first six. The team later pulled a brilliant performance and won consecutive three games and moved on to 4-5. However, their season was ended in the first six games.

Not only due to performance but also the team suffered because of the tumultuous relationship between Payton and Wilson. Everyone is aware of how Payton criticized Wilson after his late call. He even suggested the QB to wear a wristband.

Since the postseason hopes are over, the Broncos need to focus on their next season. If they have to do good, then all the tiffs and tussles need to come to an end.
