When the Tennessee Titans fired Mike Vrabel earlier in January, who would have thought he would land another job within two months? Well, that’s right as the former Titans head coach is back, but this time as a personnel consultant. 

As reported by NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Cleveland Browns have hired Vrabel as the coaching and personnel consultant for the upcoming season. He was reportedly seen with the Browns’ head coach Kevin Stefanski and GM Andrew Berry at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

After six memorable seasons with the Titans, the franchise let go of Vrabel after a dismal 6-11 record last season. After that, he was known to likely be the top candidate for coaching jobs in the offseason. 

Before embarking on the coaching journey, Vrabel dedicated 14 years to the NFL as a football player who won three Super Bowl trophies with the New England Patriots and became a first-team All-Pro selection. Joining the coaching staff of Stefanski, the former Titans’ head coach has great experience over a decade, and also a lot to bring to the Browns’ table. 

Fan reaction to Browns hiring Mike Vrabel as personal consultant 

Adding Vrabel to the coaching staff is a huge boost for the Browns for the upcoming season. Just last season, Stefanski and Jim Schwartz were honored with the 2023 Coach and Assistant Coach of the Year awards, respectively. And now with Vrabel, the franchise is all set for the 2024 NFL season.

Fans seem to have taken the news of Vrabel’s addition to the Browns’ coaching staff just like how the franchise had intended. They expressed their happiness towards his addition to the Browns and also said they would miss him as the head coach. One fan wrote, “The Browns add one of the league’s very best coaches and football minds to their staff: Mike Vrabel,” while another wrote, “Vrabel in Ohio in 2024 just as we all thought.” Here are some of the reactions:
